Troop 809 is saddened to announce one of our former member families has been hit with a tragedy this holiday season.  Mrs. Kathy Kelly, wife of Mr. Mel Kelly passed away unexpectedly on Nov 25th.
Mrs. Kathy was Troop 809’s Advancement Chair for many years and was a great leader of her Scouts.  We appreciate all of her service and dedication to the Scouting family.
Mr. Mel has been a leader and friend of Troop 809, Pack 809 and Harford District for many years and we are so saddened for his loss and are heartbroken for the Kelly family.We will be accepting donations to assist the Kelly family with the unexpected funeral expenses.  If you are able to give, mail a check made out to Troop 809 to our Troop Treasurer, Mr. Scott.  Just notate Kelly Family on the memo section of the check.We will be accepting donations at our December events and our Troop Holiday party on 12/17.  You can also mail a check donations, please send an email to mwies@troop809md.org  to receive the address details.
